The "Double Platinum" box is a promotional item, apparently limited to 500 copies, that was issued to record stores in conjunction with the re-release of part of the KISS catalog to coincide with the band's visit to Japan (the Summer School of Rock series). The albums are housed in mini-LP style sleeves and included the usual Japanese lyric/bio sheet, plus other items noted above. Additional items included in the box are a set of miniature reproductions of the obis that were originally used on KISS albums in the 1970s.
