Vintage Musical Jewellery Box Inlaid Micro Mosaic Decoration

  

Unusual shape, possibly Italian dating from the 1940s/1950s. I think this may have been a cigarette box originally, but now has a lift-off tray for jewellery instead, plus further space in the base. There is micro mosaic decoration everywhere except the bottom surface.

There are two small drawers. All storage areas are lined in brown material which looks unused. Switzerland LADOR movement plays "Estudiantina". Condition is excellent for the age with some marks accumulated over the years of use. Please study the photographs to judge for yourself.
