THE SANTA CLAUS CHRISTMAS RARE VINTAGE STEINBACH S766 GERMAN "SANTA ON SLEIGH" SMOKER ROLLING MUSIC BOX. This is a hand painted wooden smoker figurine by Steinbach. He was handmade and hand painted by a single skilled craftsman in West Germany circa 1980. As he was hand painted, he is truly one-of-a-kind.

Guided by the star stop his tree, his bag is loaded with presents for all the good little children on Christmas Eve. In his pocket are switches for naughty children, according to old German folklore. Beneath Santa's sleigh is a Swiss music box made by Reuge that plays "Jungle Bells" - MAGICAL!

Santa's torso lifts off to reveal a spot to burn an incense if desired to create the "smoker" effect. Newer versions of this wood art "Santa on Sleigh S766"Smoker is in excellent condition, all parts are included. The device has forward movement while the music box plays "Jingle Bells". 9" x 9" x 4.

H Christian Steinbach, the King of Nutcrackers, leading the Steinbach Co. Until his sudden death in 2008. His missing drive and the financial crisis in America became a serious problem and in 2015 Steinbach Gmbh filed bankruptcy and closed in March 2016.

The Steinbach family is no longer producing smokers. The Steinbach name is universally renowned for their highly collectible nutcrackers. But they also made limited quantities of INCENSE BURNERS, affectionately referred to as SMOKERS by collectors. This product comes in the original box.
