Lot of 5 box sets of. THE GOLDEN RECORDINGS OF FATHER JOHN DOE. Consisting of thirty LPs, pressed for The SMT Guild by RCA Custom Records. This appears to be, according to the single Packing Slip insert included in one of the boxes (see pic), a complete set of all 30 "Golden Recordings" by Father John Doe aka Ralph Pfau, a Roman Catholic priest who became a significant figure in the history of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).

When this set came to me, the LPs were jumbled randomly between the 5 boxes, so I have split them in order of the packing slip list (left to right in order, so for example box 1 now houses the following records in this order: Spiritual Side; Serenity; FJD-Alcoholic; Resentments; Decisions; Lord's Prayer). All 30 recordings detailed on the Packing Slip are present in this set.

The random difference in RCA Custom Records label designs between the different LPs supports this hypothesis. Each box is more or less identical, with no catalog number or way of distinguishing between the different boxes.

It seems that a complete set is a rare find at this point in time. All 30 LPs look rarely handled, some possibly unplayed, listed generally as VG+ to account for any variations or subtle issues that I have missed.

I cannot vouch for the individual playback condition or fidelity of these LPs, but I have checked every single one on a turntable for any signs of warpage, and can guarantee all are warp free. I noticed a small pressing defect on "Will Of God, " which lightly affects play for a few rotations (no skips or jumps). The boxes have some varied moderate wear, please see pictures for best idea of condition. All box lids are still attached, but there are some corner splits, etc. I have no way to verify if the inner sleeves are original, all are plain white or off-white, but there is some difference between them (all appear to be vintage).
